Chris Bosh Leads Miami Heat Over Chicago Bulls to take 2-1 Series Lead
Chris Bosh, the least heralded of the Miami Heat's Big Three, showed Sunday night why he is an asset to the team that spent freely this summer to acquire him. After starting the game 0-3 he only missed two more shots as he scored 34 points. It proved enough to conquer the Chicago Bulls who were unable to stop him and couldn't get their stars going.
Of course Bosh had help from the two other Heat attractions. LeBron James finished with 22 points and 10 assists and Dwyane Wade put up 17 points and nine rebounds. Together the Heat were more than the Bulls could handle and moved within two victories of the NBA Finals.
The lone bright spot on the Bulls roster was Carlos Boozer who tallied 26 points and 17 rebounds. League MVP Derrick Rose scored 20 but took 19 shots to do it and only made eight of the shots he took. The defense played well against James and Wade only allowing them to make 12 of 30 shots from the field, but there was no answer for Bosh.
The game stayed close into the fourth quarter until a 9-0 run by the Heat pushed the game out of reach for the Bulls with 5:07 left to play. Miami never led by less than seven for the rest of the game.
A notably poor performance was turned in by Joakim Noah. Noah received two quick fouls and appeared to yell at fans behind the bench. He was obviously taken out of the game from a mental standpoint and finished with a single point on the night.
Game 4 will be Tuesday night in Miami.
