Jo-Wilfried Tsonga showed no signs of fatigue after his marathon second round match against Ivan Ljubicic as he eased his way past Dudi Sela in the third round of the Australian Open 6-2, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 to make his way into the fourth round.
Tsonga finished with five aces and collected 36 winners but was sloppy at times, hitting 36 unforced errors. The Frenchman managed to break Sela’s serve six times in the match, something that was aided by the Sela’s inability to establish consistency in his service game.
Tsonga has yet to win a Grand Slam singles title but reached the finals of the Australian Open last year where he fell to Novak Djokovic.
