NCAA Basketball Scores: #2 Duke Blue Devils Crush Maryland Terrapins, Eye #1 Ranking

Gerald Henderson was 7-8 from the field for 17 points and 8 rebounds, Brian Zoubek finished with 9 points and 9 rebounds and the Duke Blue Devils (18-1, 5-0) shot 48 percent from beyond the three-point arc in a 85-44 blowout of the Maryland Terrapins (13-6, 2-3) on Saturday.

Duke dominated the ACC matchup from the start as they opened with a 12-3 run backed by a pair of three-pointers from Jon Scheyer. Maryland got as close as six-points but the Blue Devils used a 15-2 spurt to move in front 30-11 and finished the first half in front 40-15.

The second half was no better for Maryland as the Blue Devils ran off 14 straight points to grab a 60-20 lead with just over 15 minutes left in the game. Duke led by as many as 44-points in the second half as they unloaded their bench and still earned the biggest margin of victory over Maryland in school history.

Maryland was awful all day as they shot just 28 percent from the field and 16 percent from beyond the three-point line.
