Model Estella Warren was arrested Monday for a number of charges which include DUI, hit and run, assault and felony escape. She has appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and also starred in Planet of the Apes.
Warren was apprehended in Los Angeles after she crashed her Toyota Prius into three parked cars. When the police caught up with the model she proceeded to kick one of the arresting officers. But it doesn’t stop there. While waiting to be booked Warren managed to slip her wrist out of the handcuffs and attempted to escape through a back door at the police station. The celebrity gossip site TMZ broke the news.
Police are often subjected to aggression and anger when they apprehend drunk drivers. Not only does alcohol affect a person’s ability to drive, it also makes it more difficult for people to control their anger.
Before kicking a police officer and trying to escape, Warren would have needed a DUI lawyer, but now she faces criminal charges. There is no word in what her blood-alcohol content was.
