Casey Anthony Case: George Anthony to Remain in Hospital Following Suicide Scare

George Anthony, the father of Orlando murder suspect Casey Anthony, will remain hospitalized for evaluation after he expressed a desire to take his own life following the discovery of his granddaughter’s body less than half a mile from his home.

George has been hospitalized since last Friday after police found him in a Daytona Beach motel. He had been reported missing on Thursday night after a five-page suicide note was found by family members.

It had been more than six months after Caylee Anthony disappeared when her remains were found in a plastic bag in a wooded area near the home she lived in with her mother, Casey Anthony, and her grandparents George and Cindy Anthony.

Funeral arrangements for Caylee were being made and Cindy Anthony has suggested that the preparations may have sent her husband over the edge. Casey Anthony remains jailed awaiting a trial on first-degree murder charges. She has denied any involvement in her daughter’s death.
