Three bombs exploded in eastern china Thursday between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Authorities say the bombs were planted at three government offices in the city of Fuzhou, which is located in Jiangxi province about 975 miles south of Beijing. Two people were killed and 6 others were injured in the explosions. At least three of the wounded are in serious condition.
"A car bomb went off at 9:18 a.m. in the parking lot of the Fuzhou city prosecutor's office, followed by a blast at 9:20 a.m. at the Linchuan district government building and another car bomb at 9:45 a.m. near the local drug administration building," said Jiangxi government spokesman Zhang Baoyun.
Authorities believed a disgruntled local farmer is responsible for planting the bombs. The explosions are under investigation.
