A golf website supporting a new professional and amateur golf tour is providing golfers with information on the best golf links and golf news available online.
The site for the U.S. Putting Tour has created a page that summarizes the best golf websites in a number of categories including amateur golf sites, professional golf sites, golf news sites and miscellaneous golf sites.
"We're happy to provide this service to golfers," said U.S. Putting Tour president, Jim Hartley. "There's so much golf information out there on the web, it can be overwhelming. What we've done is synthesize it down to the best golf websites, in our opinion, by category."
Among the
golf links included in the amateur golf section is AmateurGolf.com, which provides a great deal of information for amateur golfers around the country who like to compete in tournaments.
The site also lists the top
golf news websites, which include Golf.com and the golf section of the ESPN website. Additional listings include popular golf blogs and links to golf and
putting tips for all levels of golfers.
The U.S. Putting Tour is a putting tour for amateur and professional golfers. The tour's 2011 USPT Championship will be held September 26 through October 2 at The Crossings in Carlsbad, California. The season-ending putting tournament includes a guaranteed payout of $10,000 for first place.
All golfers over the age of 12 are eligible to enter. The championship is open to men and women, who will compete together for the title of America's Best Putter. Golfers can enter now at the U.S. Putting Tour website. More information is available at the website and by emailing info@usputtingtour.com.
