Serena
Williams is one step closer to a fourth Australian Open title after she took
care of Elena Dementieva in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 to reach the finals in Melbourne.
Williams
finally looked like she had control of her serve as she pounded out 10 aces and
won 78 percent of her first serves put in play. On the other end of the court
Dementieva struggled with her serve as she committed 8 double faults and won
just 52 percent of her first serves.
Williams
has won nine Grand Slam singles titles including a career Grand Slam. She owns
three U.S. Open titles, a French Open title, two Wimbledon titles, and three
Australian Open titles. Williams only title in 2008 was a win at the U.S. Open.
