Casey
Anthony has been ordered to appear in court on Friday despite motions filed by
her attorney Jose Baez requesting she be kept away from the proceedings.
The
order came from Judge Stan Strickland who has taken a hard stance against the Casey
Anthony. Anthony stands accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee
Anthony, accusations that she has denied.
The
case against Casey Anthony has generated massive media attention and Baez has
said his client’s appearance would only fuel the “circus-like atmosphere” but
Strickland refused to accept that argument.
Caylee
Anthony disappeared in June 2008 but wasn’t reported missing until July at
which time Casey Anthony told investigators she had dropped Caylee off with a babysitter
and when she returned both were gone. The search for Caylee Anthony grabbed
national headlines and as the case unfolded more attention was being placed on
Casey’s involvement.
The
remains of Caylee Anthony were found last month in a plastic bag less than a
half mile from the home she lived in with her mother and grandparents.
