California Teen Addiction Center Launches Opiate Rehab Program

Adolescent drug rehabilitation center Newport Academy unveiled its teen opiate treatment program this week. Conducted on the center’s scenic grounds in Orange, California, the new opiate rehabilitation program provides intensive psychotherapy, detoxification and personal growth for teens 12 to 17 who face opiate addiction.

“Opiate addiction is notoriously difficult to treat,” explained Jamison Monroe, Newport Academy founder. “For teens, the process of opiate addiction recovery can be even more overwhelming, requiring intensive, attentive and personalized care.”

Treating addiction to a host of opiates ranging from heroin and morphine to codeine-derived prescription medications such as Vicodin and OxyContin, Newport Academy’s opiate program provides supportive, supervised care for teen patients overcoming drug addiction. In addition to physical detoxification, the center’s opiate abuse program offers group therapy, personalized sessions with clinical therapists and intensive family involvement, alongside nutritional and fitness guidance. Teens can also take advantage of alternative therapies as they heal from opiate addiction, incorporating the use of yoga, equine and creative arts therapies.

“We employ a 360-degree intensive treatment approach to opiate addiction recovery,” added Monroe. “Newport Academy’s opiate program offers a transformative, holistic experience for addicted teens, seeking to create deep and lasting levels of mental, physical and social healing.”

The center offers dual, customized and parallel tracks for female and male teenagers recovering from opiate addiction. Newport Academy’s tight enrollment caps allow patients in the opiate program to receive dedicated care following personalized treatment plans for greater levels of intensive individualized therapy. Students at Newport Academy also engage in group interactions and activities with peers of the same gender, as well as academic lessons with certified teachers in order to stay current on their studies during rehabilitation.

Newport Academy also incorporates Dual Diagnosis treatment into its opiate recovery options, aimed at teenagers who suffer from co-occurring mental health concerns. Clinical staff members work with teenagers facing issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self injury and behavioral addictions to resolve addiction alongside mental health disorders.
