The (ACO) American Cornhole Organization Cornhole Madness Event takes place at the Grand Victoria Casino, in Rising Sun, Indiana on Saturday, March 28, 2009. What better time to have a Cornhole Madness Event than March. With a Guaranteed $5,000.00 Purse, pitch mania will prevail at Grand Victoria.
Cornhole Madness is not just a cornhole tournament but rather a series of Staged Cornhole Events throughout Saturday, March 28. The winner will go home with a guaranteed $1000.00 cash prize. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 13 finishers in a field limit of 128 entries.
Cornhole Madness is as crazy as it sounds and chances to win are extremely high. Each player will compete in four different staged events. Points will be earned at each event based on the performance of the player. The higher the points the better the placement. The player with the highest point total after all 4 events will be in first place and take home $1,000.00. Similar to the Decathalon, a player needs to do good in all 4 events but does not necessarily have to win any of
the events to be the overall winner.
Stage 1 is the Seven21 Challenge - player receives 7 cornhole bags pitching from a 27' distance adding up her or his total score. Highest score is 21.
Stage 2 is a luck of the draw doubles tournament of 64 - The top 64 players are put in Bracket A the remaining 64 will be put in Bracket B and a player from each Bracket is randomly matched. The tournament is played out and advancing winners accumulate points through the final game.
Stage 3 is a singles tournament - best two out of three winner moves on. Seeding based on current SCR Score if no SCR Score player will be randomly seeded. Advancing winners accumulate points through the final.
Stage 4 is the AirMail Challenge - player receives 8 bags pitching each bag from a distance of 30' trying to get the bag in the hole. Each cornhole bag in the hole is worth 5 points. Highest possible score is 40 points.
