Afghan Suicide Bomber Kills at least 21 Police Officers

A suicide bomber dressed as a police uniform, entered a police station in Tirin Kot, Afghanistan and detonated a bomb, killing at least 21 officers.

The explosion caused damage to several nearby buildings and injured at least eight other police officers at the station.

According to reports the suicide bomber entered the station during a training exercise for reservists and detonated the bomb that had been strapped to his body and concealed under his uniform.

Tirin Kot, capital of the Uruzgan province in the southern part of Afghanistan, is a stronghold for Taliban insurgents.
