 They sounded a warning bell to the American public in their new book Homeland

Insecurity. Former FBI officials Terry D. Turchie and Dr. Kathleen Puckett are giving the

American reading public, the benefit of their combined five decades of experience with the

FBI.

 In their new book, Mr. Turchie, a former FBI Assistant Deputy Director  and Unit Director and Dr. Puckett, a clinical psychologist, sound a warning bell about the corruption and infringement of American civil liberties that is taking place in Washington DC..

Homeland Insecurity is a book that creates discomfort in the reader currently bearing witness to the flagrant disregard of the tax laws by Cabinet Candidates Tom Daschle and Tim Geithner bringing embarrassment to the new President. The disregard Washington officials have in general for the nation’s laws is spelled out in Homeland Insecurity. It is the book that Publishers Weekly said was “…the exercise of unfettered political power.”

Homeland Insecurity is about the corroding effect power has on some human beings who attain elected office and the cancerous corruption of unbridled use. Naming names and citing cases, starting with Richard M. Nixon and moving up to the present, the authors, in true FBI fashion, cite and profile eleven politicians including Frank Leahy, Richard Shelby and Dennis Hastert and several hired hands who flaunted and purposely disregarded the law, to enhance their power in Washington.

 Homeland Insecurity is about attitude, corruption, and special favor by and for people who feel they are not constrained by law.

Mr. Turchie is retired from the FBI. He was an Assistant Deputy Director and the Unit Director who led the final pursuit and capture of Ted Kaczynski the notorious Unabomber. Dr. Puckett, a clinical psychologist, assisted Mr. Turchie in the Unabomber pursuit and was a founder of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Program. They also co-authored the award winning Hunting the American Terrorist, the account of the Kaczynski capture. Both were recipients of the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service.
