Two girls injured in Arizona auto accident

By: Daun Lee

Two young girls, ages 6 and 7, were seriously injured in an auto accident on Interstate 10, outside of Tucson, Arizona. The vehicle, driven by the girl’s mother rolled over into a median Monday afternoon around 2:45 pm after she lost control of the vehicle. No other vehicles were involved in the collision; had there been the accident victims would need an accident attorney.

The girls were not wearing their safety belts at the time of the accident. The seven year old was partially ejected from the rear window of the car while the 6 year old stayed in the vehicle. According to Leo Pena, a firefighter and paramedic who responded to accident “It was remarkable that there were no fatalities.”

The girls were taken to the trauma center at University Medical Center and are listed in serious but stable condition.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Often times accidents are caused by the carelessness of another driver, and victims can hold these individuals accountable for their actions by employing an accident lawyer.

The injuries to the girls could have been diminished had they been wearing their seatbelts. Wearing safety belts can minimize the injuries a person involved in an accident will incur. With summer approaching, it is essential that people who are traveling use every safety precaution possible. Should a serious injury result from a collision, a person can seek compensation by hiring an accident attorney.
