SuperCamp, a leading academic summer camp, has created a new report entitled 10 Easy Ways to Study More Effectively that it is making available free of charge at its website to parents, students and teachers.
This report is a compilation of study and learning strategies that educational experts within the parent company of the teen summer camp, Quantum Learning Network, have developed over the past twenty-seven years. The company trains teachers in Quantum Learning teaching and learning methods and provides middle school, high school and college students with study, test-taking, and many other learning strategies at its summer academic camps.
Included in the report are strategies that students can employ at home when studying for tests and exams, as well as note-taking and memory techniques that will facilitate more productive studying and better results.
These methods have been proven to work. Independent studies with SuperCamp graduates have shown that 73 percent of graduates improve their grades after having attended the summer enrichment program just once for 10 days.
SuperCamp was started in 1982 and, since then, has graduated over 50,000 students. Bobbi DePorter, co-founder and president of SuperCamp and Quantum Learning Network, said, "This report can help students of all ages achieve better grades. It's also a big help to parents because it tells them what they can do to help support their students' success."
SuperCamp is unique among academic summer camps in that it provides students with learning skills and life skills instruction. Students develop communication, interpersonal, leadership, goal-setting, time management and other life skills that help them manage their lives and relationships better.
This summer SuperCamp is being held at eight U.S. colleges, including Stanford, Cornell and Wake Forest. Grade-specific programs are available for students entering grades 6-8 in the fall, those going into grades 9-12 and for incoming and current college students.
The free special report is available at the academic skills camp website or by calling 800-285-3276.
