The doctor has developed skills and techniques that include state-of-the-art technological advances in achieving relief from pain quickly.
When interviewed recently, Dr. Rothman stated, "As more people spend countless hours focused on computer screens, and dealing with unexpected life changes, they are experiencing piercing and painful headaches. Many people experience headaches that are so painful they are unable to focus or function in their daily life. I have focused my practice on providing both relief from pain and the education, tools, and resources needed to prevent recurrence of the pain. The doctor spends time with new patients, learning about their past medical history, injuries they may have suffered in the past that were not addressed, diet, exercise regimen, normal activities, lifestyle, job, and triggers for the pain. He performs a series of tests that include mobility, flexibility, x-rays, and a physical examination to determine the root cause of the pain.
Following the examination and meetings, the doctor will develop a holistic plan that will address the immediate pain through a series of low-force manipulation and other therapies such as heat and cold therapy and deep tissue massage to reduce inflammation and swelling in the areas of the neck and spine that have been injured and may be contributing to the headache pain.
The doctor will often provide stress management tools and exercises that will give an individual the ability to more effectively avoid tension and stress that may cause the pain. In addition, he will often recommend changes to the diet to increase the vitamins required by the body to heal and regenerate more effectively.
