Ohio man survives second auto accident

By: Daun Lee

Aaron Slabaugh must have a guardian angel watching over him after surviving his second auto accident in four years.

Aaron, who was an outfielder for Bluffton University in Ohio, was the fortunate survivor of a 2007 bus crash which killed seven passengers. In the 2007 accident the bus carrying players to Florida went off a highway overpass in Atlanta. Aaron was asleep when the bus plunged onto the highway below, he was thrown onto the bridge and sustained minor injuries. Other people on the bus were not so fortunate, the bus driver and his wife along with five teammates lost their lives.

Aaron was involved in another accident on Tuesday in Idaho. He was traveling with members of his cycling team to participate in a charity event. The charity cyclists were traveling in a van that blew out a tire which caused the vehicle to first waver, then roll-over. He and the other passengers suffered minor injuries.

Aaron and his fellow passenger were lucky, but often these types of accidents result in serious injury or death. Accident victims can find themselves in need of help with their medical bills, and can employ accident attorneys to gain them compensation.

Accidents are often caused by another person's carelessness. If negligence can be proved an accident lawyer can seek compensatory damages for the injured to pay for related expenses and their suffering. Dealing with insurance companies can be rife with difficulties, but with the representation of an accident attorney, the victim can be relieved of this burden.
