SuperCamp announced today that some of its academic summer camps are now full and that several more of its seven and ten-day summer enrichment sessions are down to a few available spots.
"We are very excited that with less than a month left before the first SuperCamp session at Stanford University, all of our camps are almost full," explained SuperCamp president, Bobbi DePorter.
Ms. DePorter cited two additional reasons why a large number of families are choosing now to enroll in SuperCamp. The company recently has been promoting the year-round support SuperCamp grads receive, which includes video tutorials and access to SuperCamp facilitators.
Another reason, which accounts for the growth in the summer enrichment program over its 30-year history is the results seen in and achieved by the students who attend. Studies have shown that they increase grades in the year following camp. Additionally, a recent survey of over 150 SuperCamp grads indicated that 88 percent of them attend college immediately after high school versus the national average of 65 percent of high school grads.
Among teen summer camps, SuperCamp also does an outstanding job of preparing high school students for college with the life skills portion of the curriculum. These life skills complement the academic skills the students also acquire at SuperCamp. The life skills help students develop their communication and leadership skills and provide them with principles to live by in the form of the 8 Keys of Excellence.
