PHC, Inc. (PHC) is a national healthcare company, which, through wholly owned subsidiaries, provides psychiatric services to individuals who have behavioral health disorders, including alcohol and drug dependency and to individuals in the gaming and transportation industries. Its subsidiaries operate substance abuse treatment facilities in Utah and Virginia, four outpatient psychiatric facilities in Michigan, three outpatient psychiatric facilities in Nevada, and three inpatient psychiatric facilities, two in Michigan and one in Nevada. PHC provides management, administrative and help line services through contracts with railroads, a call center contract with Wayne County, Michigan and a smoking cessation contract with a major government contractor. Through another subsidiary, at three sites, it conducts studies on the effects of various pharmaceuticals, including psychiatric pharmaceuticals, on a controlled population through contracts with the manufacturers of these pharmaceuticals.
