NBA Schedule for Friday, Feb. 6: Celtics Look to Bounce Back Against Knicks, Trail Blazers Look to Even Road Record Against Thunder

The NBA schedule has nine games on tap for Friday night and the marquee matchup will feature the Boston Celtics (41-10) traveling to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks (21-27) at 7:30 p.m. ET. Boston will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night while the Knicks will try to prevent another meteoric night by an opposing player. In their past two home games the Knicks have seen Kobe Bryant drop an MSG arena record 61 points followed by a LeBron James triple-double that included 52 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

Also on schedule for Friday night will be the Portland Trail Blazers (30-18) looking to even their road record when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder (11-38). Portland is currently 12-13 on the road and they have a solid shot at evening that out as the Thunder are just 8-18 at home. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Eastern Conference’s best road team, the Orlando Magic (37-11), have posted a 18-6 mark away from home and will look to improve on that when they face the Indiana Pacers (19-31) at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The Atlanta Hawks (28-20) will look to pick up a division win on Friday night when they face the Charlotte Bobcats (19-29) at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The New Orleans Hornets (28-18) will likely be playing without Chris Paul when they host the Toronto Raptors (19-32) at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Denver Nuggets (33-16) have won three straight and have a legitimate shot at number four when they travel to face the Washington Wizards (10-39) at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Memphis Grizzlies (13-35) will be hosting the Los Angeles Clippers (10-39) in what appears to be a battle for lottery position. The two will tip-off at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Utah Jazz (28-22) are coming off a home win against Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night and now hit the road to face the Sacramento Kings (11-39) at 10:00 p.m. ET.

The Phoenix Suns (26-21) need to find their stride if they are going to make the playoffs and they’ll try to get things started on Friday night when they host the Golden State Warriors (16-34) at10:30 p.m. ET.
