Shannon Tweed confronts Gene Simmons for his wandering eye

By: Daun Lee

The show Family Jewels is in its sixth season and this one may prove to be a rocky one. Shannon Tweed has been with Gene Simmons for 28 years, but the couple has never been married. They have two children together, Nick and Sophie, who are also featured on the reality television show.

On the season premiere of Family Jewels, Shannon confronts Gene after he is photographed with two young women, when he should be attending a family function. The photos appeared on TMZ.com.

Simmons is legendary for his sexual prowess and claims to have been with close to 4,000 women. Tweed stated she turned a blind eye to his philandering ways, but now that their children are grown, she is ready to throw in the towel. She told the hosts of Today, that the last two years of their relationship have been a bitch.

Tweed has accused Simmons of cheating. Infidelity contributes to large number of divorces that may require the representation of a divorce attorney. Simmons and Tweed have never been legally married but are recognized to be involved in a common-law marriage, which can be dissolved through legal means. Couples involved in long term relationships, like married couples, must deal with division of communal assets.

A divorce lawyer will work to get their clients the best settlement they deserve for the time they devoted to their spouses. Their expertise and knowledge make divorce attorneys an absolute necessity when contemplating marriage dissolution, especially for couples with children and numerous assets.
