On Monday June 13th a Louisville, Kentucky man, Michael Bishop, thought someone was breaking into his home and shot a 12 year-old boy. He was in court Friday morning for an arraignment. He is being charged with attempted murder. Bishop, 56, maintains that the shooting was an accident.
The injured boy, Jacob Eberle, and his friends were playing a prank on people in his neighborhood. Shortly after 9:00 pm, the boys rang Bishop’s doorbell. Bishop grabbed his shotgun and fired on the boys, Eberle was shot in the back. He was taken to a local hospital where he was originally in critical condition but was moved today and is improving.
