Women’s addiction treatment facility The Orchid unveiled its alcohol and drug addiction aftercare program this week. Offering transitional support and extended treatment for those facing high-level addictions, the center’s aftercare program will provide solidifying support to women recovering from chemical dependency.
“The process of addiction recovery extends well past graduation from rehab,” explained Julie Queler, The Orchid’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our aftercare program provides careful, customized planning and ongoing support systems for graduates, allowing the deep healing they’ve received at The Orchid to take root as alumna return home.”
The aftercare program will provide community support for women facing addiction complications, in keeping with The Orchid Recovery Center emphasis on substance abuse recovery for female trauma survivors with an emphasis on psychotherapy. Available to individuals who have successfully completed alcohol and drug treatment, The Orchid's program offers relapse prevention services such as self care, trigger identification, environmental changes and boundary establishment. Enrollees learn visualization and stress reduction techniques, establish ongoing support networks and acquire time management, fitness and nutritional routines. Expressive therapies and 12-step involvement are also incorporated into the center's aftercare program.
With a blend of intensive psychotherapy, peer-supported expressive interactions and principles of healing based on the popular 12-step paradigm, Orchid Recovery provides addiction recovery and support for women with alcohol, drug and behavioral addictions. A certified Dual Diagnosis facility, The Orchid also provides professional, simultaneous treatment for co-occurring mental health issues and disorders. Consciously crafted for women, the center’s treatment approach also focuses on female-centric issues, such as body image, self-esteem, relationship violence, sexual assault and parenting pressures.
“The journey through addiction recovery is unique to each patient,” explained Queler. “By assessing individual triggers, contributing pressures, daily routines, relationships and environment, The Orchid’s aftercare program can best position graduates for successful sobriety.”
