Casey Anthony refused to watch the televised memorial
service for her slain 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony.
Jail officials say
Casey, who has been charged with Caylee’s murder, did not ask to watch the
service, which was held at an Orlando church and attended by nearly 1,500
people. Casey, 22, said she was opposed to the service being open to the
public.
The service included a message delivered by Reverend
David Uth, several of Caylee’s favorite songs and a candle lighting.
Caylee went missing in June. Her skeletal remains were
found in a laundry bag in a wooded area about half a mile from the home of her
grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony. Duct tape, adorned with a heart
sticker, was placed over her mouth and several toys were found in the bag.
Casey is charged with first degree murder.
