Troy Murphy had 18 points and 15 rebounds, Roy Hibbert finished with 12 points and 8 boards and Danny Granger added 16 points including the game-winning free-throw with less than a second on the clock as the Indiana Pacers (21-32) overcame a 47-point effort from LeBron James to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers (39-11) 96-95 in a wild finish on Tuesday night.
Indiana had a 93-87 lead with 1:25 left on the clock but a bucket from Anderson Varejao, a pair of free-throws from LeBron and a layup from Wally Szczerbiak tied the game with 20 seconds remaining. T.J. Ford then gave the Pacers a 95-93 lead on an 18-foot jumper with .8 seconds but in a strange call from officials LeBron drew a foul while taking an in-bounds lob at the bucket and hit a pair from the line to tie the game.
That controversial call was only equaled on eth other end of the court when LeBron was called for fouling Granger on an in-bounds lob at the bucket and the Pacers forward hit one of two from the line to win the game.
The Pacers shot 44 percent from the floor and hit 11-23 from beyond the three-point line while the Cavs hit 34-78 from the floor but 15 of those field goals were from LeBron.
