Ryan Dunn Dies in Car Accident on Monday
'Jackass' cast member Ryan Dunn died in a car crash on Monday morning. He was 34.
Dunn was reportedly driving his Porsche in a suburban area of Pennsylvania when it swerved into the woods and burst into flames. Dunn and an unidentified passenger died as a result of injuries suffered in the accident.
According to police, Dunn was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident, and speed might have been a factor.
According to a report from TMZ.com, Dunn spent 4 hours in a bar before he got into his car on Monday. One of Dunn's friends at the bar said that he was "not too drunk to drive," but another person at the bar told TMZ that Dunn was "wasted" and had had a lot to drink that night.
Johnny Knoxville, one of the most popular stars of the 'Jackass' series, tweeted on Monday afternoon, "Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan , I love you buddy."
Another cast member, Dave England, tweeted, "I love you Ryan. I'm gonna miss you bad."
Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music/Films Group, said in a statement, "We are devastated by the tragic loss of Ryan Dunn — a beloved member of the MTV family for more than a decade. The Jackass brotherhood will never be the same."
