Viverae’s Continued Growth Chronicled in Dallas Business Journal

Viverae, a national leader in corporate wellness, is featured in the February 13, 2009 weekly edition of the Dallas Business Journal.  In the article, the Dallas/Forth Worth area magazine chronicles Viverae’s continue growth and recent partnership with Frontier Capital.  The Charlotte, NC-based investment firm infused $6.5 million into the health management company. 

“We will have significant growth in our corporate infrastructure over the next 12 to 24 months,” stated Michael Nadeau, CEO of Viverae.  “There is a significant opportunity for us to grow in market share.”

In the last three years, Viverae had an 87% revenue growth rate and a 50% rate of revenue growth in 2008 alone.  Nadeau attributes these numbers to the health management company’s approach to corporate wellness and its business plan.  “We have a solid, comprehensive method in place to help organizations have healthier employees and consequently, healthier balance sheets.  Companies are realizing the value that we are bringing to the table.”

Regarding Viverae, Andrew Linder, Managing Partner at Frontier Capital, stated, “As health care costs have just spiraled out-of-control, Viverae’s approach is pretty novel.”

The Dallas-based health management company uses biometric screenings, health risk assessments, multi-tiered employee engagement programs, health care claims analytics and proprietary health management software to implement and manage employee wellness programs for its clients.

A Viverae client, Media Recovery Inc. (MRI), realized a 20% reduction in their employees’ health risks and a 4% increase in their health score, which is tracked and calculated by Viverae’s health software system.  “And we expect to see some reduced claims associated with that,” said JoAnne Hamsher, Vice President of Human Resources at MRI.
