Lee Redmond Loses Record Fingernails in Car Crash

Lee Redmond, holder of the Guinness Book of World records mark for longest fingernails, has had them broken off following a car crash in Utah.

The combined length of Redmond’s nails had been more than 28ft but following the accident the nails were “damaged beyond repair” according to Guinness.

Redmond had been a passenger in an SUV when it crashed. She sustained serious injuries but is expected to make a full recovery.
