NCAA Basketball Scores: Hasheem Thabeet Dominant as #1 UConn Rolls Past Seton Hall in Big East Play

Hasheem Thabeet scored 25 points, grabbed 20 rebounds and blocked 9 shots and Jeff Adrien added 14 points and pulled down 15 boards to lift the #1 Connecticut Huskies (24-1) past the Seton Hall Pirates (14-10) 62-54 in a Big East showdown on Saturday.

Seton Hall managed to stay close over the first ten minutes of the game but UConn then went on an 11-0 run that put them in front 24-13 before settling with a 33-23 halftime lead as Thabeet finished with 16 points in the opening frame.

In the opening minutes of the second half Seton Hall managed to climb back to within five points but UConn never allowed them any closer as they improved to 12-1 in the Big East while Seton Hall fell to 5-7 in conference play.

The Pirates struggled from long range all day as they finished just 2-15 from beyond the three-point line.
