Andy Murray was able to capitalize on a knee injury sustained by Rafael Nadal to knock off the Spaniard in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 to win the finals at the ABN Amro tournament in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Murray had little trouble in the first set after breaking Nadal in the sixth game but he ran into problems in the second set as the Spaniard regrouped despite having to take a medical timeout to have his knee examined.
Nadal opted to continue and took the second set but in the third he had no power on his serve and Murray quickly wrapped up the tournament to become the first British winner at the tournament.
