Michael Phelps Won’t Face Charges Over Marijuana Photo

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps won’t be facing any charges related to a photo in which he is seen apparently smoking marijuana from a bong.

Phelps has apologized for using poor judgment and acknowledged that it was in fact him in the picture but he never admitted to using drugs, a key point that led the South Carolina sheriff to abandon any push for charges.

It is believed the photo was taken about three months after Phelps collected eight gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
