NCAA Basketball Week 14 AP Top 25: Connecticut Huskies Keep Top Spot, Oklahoma Sooners and UNC Tar Heels Follow
The
Connecticut Huskies held their #1 ranking in this week’s AP Top 25 NCAA
Basketball poll after another impressive week in which they knocked off
Syracuse and Seton Hall in Big East action. Connecticut will be tested on Monday
night though as they host the #4 Pittsburgh Panthers who are coming off a week
in which they beat West Virginia and Cincinnati.
Blake
Griffin kept the Oklahoma Sooners rolling and the Big 12 leaders had no trouble
holding their #2 ranking with wins over Baylor and Texas Tech. They don’t play
again until Saturday when they travel to face Texas in a huge Big 12 showdown.
North
Carolina held their #3 spot in the AP Top 25 rankings after crushing Duke on the
road and then holding off Miami on Sunday.
Both
Louisville and Duke tumbled after a rough week. The Blue Devils were #6 last
week but after getting hammered by UNC and losing on the road to Boston College
Duke dropped to #9 in the poll. The Cardinals had an embarrassing loss to Notre
Dame on their record before pounding DePaul.
