Phoenix Suns guard Jason Richardson was arrested Sunday
night in Scottsdale, Arizona after an officer clocked him going 90 mph in a 35
mph zone.
A Scottsdale police officer first saw Richardson driving
67 mph in a 40 mph zone. The officer followed Richardson and then clocked him.
After pulling the basketball star over, the officer saw that
Richardson’s 3-year-old son was not riding in a child seat.
Richardson was arrested and charged with reckless
driving, excessive speeding and failure to use a child seat. His wife appeared on the scene and took the child.
Richardson was cited on suspicion of DUI last December. At the time, he called the incident “one
stupid mistake.”
