7 People Arrested For Murder of Unarmed Teen in Pakistan

Pakistani authorities have arrested six soldiers and one civilian in the ruthless murder of an 18-year-old boy in a Karachi park on June 8. A man dragged Sarfraz Shah over to six Rangers patrolling the park and accused the teen of attempted robbery. Shah was unarmed and begging for his life when he was shot twice by the Rangers. The incident was filmed by a cameraman working for a private news channel.

"I am helpless. Please do not fire,” Shah begs before the shots are fired.

No one helped him as he collapsed and screamed in pain. Shah bled to death. The video was posted online and eventually appeared on news stations across the world.

"The court has formally framed charges of murder and terrorism against all the accused," public prosecutor Mohammad Khan Buriro told reporters Wednesday.

All seven men pleaded not guilty. The trial is scheduled to begin Thursday.
