NBA Scores: Phoenix Suns Scorch Los Angeles Clippers as Leandro Barbosa Nets 24 Points

Leandro Barbosa scored 24 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 5 assists, Shaquille O’Neal added 15 points and 8 boards and Amare Stoudemire finished with 23 points as the Phoenix Suns (29-23) scorched the Los Angeles Clippers (13-41) 140-100 on Tuesday night.

The Suns jumped to a 15-4 lead in the opening minutes of the game and never looked back as they held a 41-26 advantage after the first quarter. The buckets continued to fall in the second frame as Barbosa scored 10 points in the quarter and the Suns put 41 more points on the board to lead 81-49 at the break.

It didn’t get any better for the Clipper sin the second half as the Suns led by as many as 52 points in the fourth quarter before Los Angeles hit four three-pointers over the final two minutes.

Phoenix dominated every area of the game as they hit 62 percent from the floor and held a 58-21 advantage on the glass.
