Producer from reality show fired for sexual harassment

By: Daun Lee

A contestant on the reality show “Bachelor Pad” accused his producer of unwanted sexual advances, which in some cases requires the representation of a sexual harassment lawyer. Craig Robinson who was on a previous season of “The Bachelorette,” wanted to be a part of the show badly enough that he tolerated the harassment.

Robinson alleges that Karri-Leigh Mastrangelo, who is married with two children, aggressively pursued him. He told a Star magazine, “It was sort of like workplace sexual harassment. But I realized if I rejected her advance I would probably ruin my chances to be on Bachelor Pad.” A sexual harassment attorney would likely tell you this is not “sort of like” harassment, that is truly sexual harassment.

Robinson said she sent him salacious text messages, which included her dressed as a dominatrix and wearing racy lingerie. She also told him she was in love with him. Robinson, unfortunately, gave into her advances and “made out” with her as well as continuing their phone “relationship.”

Robinson, as a result of his actions lost his spot on the show. And Mastrangelo lost her job and family.

There is a common misconception that women are usually the victim of harassment, but often men are also victims of sexual harassment. Numerous men have had to retain sexual harassment attorney to eliminate the problem in the workplace. Robinson acted out on her advances therefore he seemed willing, but many men are victimized by women.
