Haleigh Cummings Investigation: Police Looking into Tips Suggesting Misty Croslin Wasn’t Home When Kidnapping Occurred

The search for 5-year-old Florida girl Haleigh Cummings has entered its eighth day and investigators are now following up on tips that suggest the 17-year-old girlfriend of the toddler’s father was not at home when she disappeared.

Misty Croslin has maintained that she was inside the mobile home  on Tuesday when Haleigh disappeared but her accounts regarding the hours leading up to the disappearance have changed.

Police are now investigating the timeline that Croslin has provided but they have refused to divulge any of that information to the media, only suggesting that they feel confident about when Croslin last saw Haleigh.

Croslin has said that she last saw Haleigh when she got out of bed to use the bathroom and when she didn’t return she went to look for her. It was then that Croslin discovered the back door to the mobile home had been propped open and Haleigh was gone.
