Dawna Lee Heising, executive producer and host of “Eye on Entertainment,” (EOE), has announced that Thom Michael Mulligan, multi-talented actor, writer, producer discusses his lengthy entertainment career and newest role as Director of Submissions for the New Hope Film Festival in a two-part interview with EOE. In the interviews, co-hosted by Heising and Stanley Goodrich, which will air on Time Warner Cable on the West Coast and through Cox, Comcast and Verizon on the East Coast, Mulligan talks about his early decision to forgo a promising career in sports to pursue his love of acting. In addition to discussing lead performances in such stage classics as “Anna Christie,” “Death of a Salesman,” and “The Crucible,” he reveals numerous quips, such as the night Greta Garbo sat in the audience during a performance of “Anna Christie,” mouthing the words, which she still remembered after having starred in the movie version years earlier.
Mulligan relates how his ongoing pursuit of entertainment excellence has led him to assume the roles of actor and producer on numerous film projects, among which is the award winning film “Callous,” a true story about child abuse and family dysfunction. Mulligan, in fact, is donating parts of the proceeds of the film, which is pending a distribution accord, to a charity that focuses on child abuse victims. Mulligan can be seen in the upcoming film “Fierce Target”, in which he plays Inspector Cheney. He also is the producer of the film “What Tigers Do” and plays Bill, the father. What Tigers Do” was written by Richmond Riedel, who also wrote, directed and produced “Target Practice”. Thom Michael Mulligan, born and raised in New York City, was introduced to acting at the age of seven, by his mother, a talented stage actress. His love of acting convinced him to pursue the craft, leading him to decline a minor league baseball contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. A SAG and AFTRA member, Mulligan has appeared in numerous TV soaps, commercials as well as plays and films.
