The
Chicago Bulls have reached an agreement to send Andres Nocioni, Drew Gooden and
Cedric Simmons to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Brad Miller and John
Salmons in a deal expected to be finalized by Wednesday evening.
According
to reports the deal would also involve the Bulls sending Michael Ruffin to the
Portland Trail Blazers who would then move Ike Diogu to the Kings.
Chicago
has been in need of a solid big man for some time and Miller’s 11.9 points per
game and 8 rebounds should help. The Bulls will also make use of Salmons who
has been averaging 18.3 points per game.
The
move for Sacramento was made largely for money reasons as they pick up the expiring
contracts of Gooden and Simmons.
