A student who apparently jumped to his death at New York’s
prominent Dalton School has been identified as 17-year-old Theodore Graubard.
More details have emerged about the teen who plunged to
his death from an 11th story window Tuesday. According to the Daily News, Graubard was
a “well-liked junior” who was active in school clubs and sports. He played
varsity football for Dalton, designed the team’s web site and was a part of the
Math and Olympiad groups.
Graubard jumped from the window at 11:15. Witnesses say
his body nearly hit several fourth grade students playing on the sidewalk.
The school has 1,300 students in grades kindergarten
through high school. Dalton was founded in 1919 and has many notable alumni
including actress Claire Danes, actor Chevy Chase and CNN News anchor Anderson
