Haleigh Cummings Disappearance: Florida Police Announce Arrest of Sexual Predator

Investigators working the case of missing Florida 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings announced that police have arrested a sexual predator who lived near the mobile trailer from which the young girl disappeared.

The arrest was not directly tied to the Haleigh Cummings case but it was announced that the suspect had violated his curfew. Police were able to determine from a GPS monitoring device that the suspect was within his “home zone” around the time the girl disappeared.

Haleigh Cummings was reported missing on February 10 after her father’s girlfriend, 17-year-old Misty Croslin, noticed she never returned to bed after getting up to use the bathroom late in the evening. Police have continued to question Croslin as well as Ronald Cummings, the father of Haleigh.

There has been a lot of focus on Croslin who has offered a few different accounts concerning the events that transpired the evening Haleigh disappeared. Police have not named a suspect in the case and have called the questioning routine.
