Putman
County, Florida police have announced that the reward for information leading
to the discovery of missing five-year-old Haleigh Cummings has been boosted to
$16,000 after an anonymous resident donated $10,000 to the cause.
Haleigh
Cummings was reported missing on Feb. 10 after her father’s girlfriend, Misty
Croslin, realized the girl never returned to bed after getting up at night to
use the bathroom. Croslin noticed that the back door had been propped open and called
police.
A
massive search was launched the following morning but police have released
little information on any leads. More than 1,200 tips have been called into a
Crimestoppers hotline with some of those tips suggesting Croslin wasn’t home
when Haleigh disappeared.
Addressing
the large number of responses since Haleigh’s disappearance Putman County Capt.
Dick Schauland stated, “Sooner or later the one we need is going to come up and
it's going to make the difference.”
