Kevin
Garnett will miss the remainder of the Boston Celtics road trip after straining
his right knee in his clubs loss to the Utah Jazz on Thursday night.
Garnett
has returned to Boston to have an MRI exam and while his injury is not believed
to be serious the Celtics are remaining cautious. The twelve-time All-Star went
down late in the second quarter on Thursday and while he expressed a desire to
return in the second half head coach Doc Rivers opted to keep him in the locker
room.
Garnett
will miss games against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, Denver Nuggets on Monday
and the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. The Celtics will return to action in
Boston next Friday when they host the Indiana Pacers.
