At Least 11 Killed after Train Collides with Bus Carrying Tourists

At least 11 people were killed on Saturday after a train slammed into a bus carrying tourists in central Slovakia.

 

The bus was carrying 36 people who were on their way to a ski resort when the train slammed into the coach at a rail crossing. According to reports the crash caused the train to derail and sent the bus several meters down the track.

 

All of the dead were said to have been on the bus and several of the injured had to be airlifted to a hospital in Banska Bystrica.
