President Barack Obama Announces Tax Cuts to Begin in April

President Barack Obama announced during his weekly radio and Internet address that Americans will begin to see a tax cut on their paychecks beginning in April with the typical family earning an extra $65 a month because of the breaks.

Obama called the tax cut historic noting, “Never before in our history has a tax cut taken effect faster or gone to so many hardworking Americans.”

The tax cuts are part of the recently passed $787 billion stimulus plan that was designed to bring the U.S. out of its recession, provide jobs and encourage spending.
