Rajon Rondo finished with 32 points and 10 assists, Ray Allen poured in 31 points and Paul Pierce added 26 points and 6 rebounds as the Boston Celtics (45-12) showed no signs of missing the injured Kevin Garnett as they blasted the Phoenix Suns (31-24) 128-108 on Sunday.
Phoenix used their rejuvenated offense to jump to a 14-6 advantage in the first quarter but the Celtics settled down and after a 14-point frame from Allen and a 12-point quarter from Rondo the Celtics carried a 38-33 advantage into the second.
The Suns managed to hang within five much of the second but the Celtics closed the half on a 12-3 run to go up 68-54 at the break. Boston then used a 12-5 spurt to open the third and moved up by 21 points and Phoenix never recovered.
Boston shot 63 percent from the floor and outrebounded Phoenix 40-28 on the day.
