NBA Scores: Dwight Howard Dominant as Orlando Magic Knock Off Miami Heat in In-State Battle

Dwight Howard scored 32 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, Hedo Turkoglu added 20 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dealt 6 assists and Rashard Lewis finished with 18 points as the Orlando Magic (41-14) had little trouble dropping the Miami Heat (29-26) 122-99 on Sunday.

Miami looked like they were ready for a game over the first four minutes as they trailed by just two but Orlando then went on a 13-0 run to grab a 27-12 lead and finished the frame with that 15-point advantage intact, 39-24.

Orlando continued to pour it on in the second quarter and built a 62-37 advantage with 2:04 left in the half before Dwyane Wade managed to get the Heat within 18 by halftime. Even with a 17-point third quarter from Wade the Heat were no closer as Orlando continued to score at will and they boosted their advantage to 91-72 heading into the final frame.

The Magic shot 54 percent from the floor including 17-32 from beyond the three-point line. Orlando also dominated the glass, holding a 53-28 advantage on the board.
