Career of Gold, a book for re-starting a career for those in their golden years, was written by Don Bracken to launch his publishing company two years ago, at age 70. Reaching out to those laced with
uncertainty and frightening economic difficulties, Bracken is offering free advice to those people who are in need of information on how to start up a new business and how to find markets. Bracken was a successful entrepreneur prior to his start-up publishing firm, History Publishing Company.
On Friday, February 25th and again on Monday March 2nd from 9-5 EST, Bracken will be taking calls at 845-398-8161 to offer free advice on starting up a business in this turbulent time.
Bracken’s book Career of Gold, published in January, 2007 predicted economic difficulties in the near future, advised self-employment as the one sure way for those in their golden years to set up their future years and how to go about it.
“This is a time to be reaching out to others. We have to help each other in this frightening and uncertain time,” says Bracken. “We have been let down by those we trusted to lead us responsibly. Now we have to do for ourselves. Self-employment offers a strong avenue.”
Bracken’s firm, History Publishing Company, has an imprint, Today’s Books, which deals with contemporary problems and how to deal with them on the personal level. Two of his books in the HPC imprint have been recipients of national book awards.
Career of Gold, 9781933909844, Today’s Books, is available at Barnes and Noble Booksellers and other fine bookstores nationally.
