INXS Dumps Frontman JD Fortune?

JD Fortune, who shot to fame in 2005 when he won a reality show that put him as frontman of INXS, claims the band has dumped and he is now living out of his car. Fortune alleges his INXS bandmates ditched him in Hong Kong.

“I was in an airport in Hong Kong and literally got handshakes that said, ‘Thank you very much.’ I found myself really alone because I had traveled with these guys for 23 months.

INXS creative director and global business strategist Chris Murphy says Fortune’s allegations are not true. “Not only are we shocked by the claims, even the place the supposed incident was to have taken place is a mystery. The band have always stated to me that Fortune’s services could potentially be contracted again when INXS next tour,” says Murphy.

INXS created the reality show Rock Star: INXS to find a frontman to replace their lead singer Michael Hutchence, who was found hanged in a Sydney hotel room in 1997. Fortune, 35, won the competition to be the next vocalist for the band.
