NBA Scores: Dwyane Wade Finishes with Double-Double as Miami Heat Hand Detroit Pistons Seventh Straight Loss

Dwyane Wade recorded a double-double with 31 points and 16 assists, Udonis Haslem added 10 points and 11 boards and Jermaine O’Neal added 14 points as the Miami Heat (30-26) used a big third quarter to hand the Detroit Pistons (27-28) their seventh straight loss 103-91 on Tuesday night.

Detroit played Miami close throughout the first half as they held Wade to just ten points and trailed 52-51 at the break. The Pistons then scored the first five points of the third quarter to jump in front 56-52 but the Heat then used a 15-4 spurt to move in front 69-62 with 5:20 left in the frame. After the Pistons pulled to within four the Heat used another run, this time an 11-3 burst, to carry an 80-68 lead into the fourth. In the final frame the Pistons never got closer than six as Wade put another ten points on the board.

Miami hit 50 percent from the floor and sank 9-19 from beyond the three-point line and hit 18-21 from the free-throw line.
